Hygiene Manager FMCG &amp; Food Manufacturing Sector Norwich &pound;48,000 - &pound;52,000 (depending on experience) &nbsp;&nbsp;Monday &ndash; Friday &ndash; Days An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hygiene Manager to lead and champion hygiene standards at a leading food manufacturing site in Norwich. This role offers the chance to drive continuous improvement, build team capability, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.The candidate;<ul>
<li>Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or similar environment, with a background in hygiene management.</li><li>Proven experience in leading and managing teams.</li><li>HACCP Level 3 qualification.</li><li>Strong knowledge of BRC and retailer audit compliance.</li><li>Experience in allergen management and validation.</li><li>Ability to present and manage hygiene plans during audits.</li><li>Strong leadership and people management skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation abilities.</li><li>Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.</li><li>Passion for coaching and developing teams.</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.</li></ul>
Duties and Responsibilities<ul>
<li>Provide leadership and direction to the hygiene and operations teams, ensuring hygiene standards are effectively managed and continuously improved.</li><li>Embed hygiene activities into operational schedules in collaboration with production teams.</li><li>Ensure compliance with customer policies, codes of practice, and external certification requirements.</li><li>Support teams in maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and factory standards through training and validation.</li><li>Develop and maintain hygiene schedules, procedures, and work instructions in line with BRC and retailer codes of practice.</li><li>Assist the Technical and QA teams with allergen management, risk assessments, verification, and validation.</li><li>Oversee hygiene standards and audits, ensuring effective reporting against internal and customer KPIs.</li><li>Investigate, communicate, and report hygiene-related incidents, supporting the resolution of non-conformances.</li><li>Lead hygiene-related activities during customer visits and audits to ensure successful outcomes.</li><li>Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team knowledge and skills.</li></ul>
