<li>A Health &amp; Safety background within a Transport, Shipping, Port or Logistics operation</li><li>Experience within a logistics, transport and distribution network&nbsp;</li><li>Thorough knowledge of HSEQ laws, regulations, practices, and standards is desirable</li><li>A basic understanding of health and safety practices.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse teams.</li><li>IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office packages.</li><li>A flexible and approachable attitude, with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.</li><li>A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as occasional travel will be required.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines consistently.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship building abilities, and effective communication.</li><li>Self-driven, enthusiastic, proactive, and dynamic approach.</li><li>Ability to plan, prioritise, work to deadlines, without supervision and on their own initiative</li><li>Able to identify and separate out the key components of problems and situation</li></ul>
Duties and Responsibilities<ul>
<li>Supporting the implementation of health and safety processes, systems, and reporting.</li><li>Providing guidance and support to teams to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.</li><li>Assisting with incident investigations and reporting to ensure continuous improvement.</li><li>Engaging with employees at all levels to encourage best safety practices.</li><li>Travelling to various port locations within the North West and North East as required.</li><li>Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention in the absence of the manager</li></ul>

<li>Conduct Health &amp; Safety inspections and prepare reports and documents as required.</li></ul>
