Transport Operator Skelmersdale &pound;26,000 4 Days on 4 days off, 07:00 &ndash; 19:00 I&rsquo;m currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join a large blue chip business who specialise within general haulage loads for the UK.They are seeking a Transport Coordinator to support the current transport operation in the management of general haulage division. &nbsp;&nbsp;The Candidate;<ul>
<li>Previous experience of working within a transport office</li><li>General haulage experience is desirable</li><li>Good geographical knowledge of the UK</li><li>Previous experience within a fast paced transport coordinator position</li><li>Strong customer service skills</li><li>Confident on the phone</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines</li><li>Competent decision making</li><li>Computer literate</li><li>Have a flexible and adaptable approach</li><li>Excellent organisational and communication skills</li></ul>
Duties and Responsibilities;<ul>
<li>Supervising and managing driver workloads</li><li>Monitoring driver performance</li><li>Provide position and constructive feedback to drivers</li><li>Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays</li><li>Provide the communication link between customers and drivers</li><li>Ensure drivers have the correct paperwork and equipment to carry out their role</li><li>Liaise with drivers and manage WTD / DTD</li><li>Conducting driver briefs &amp; de-briefs</li><li>Supervising and managing driver workloads</li><li>Report any incidents / near misses as soon as they occur and ensure the relevant paperwork is completed.</li><li>Ensuring your routes are numbered correctly and all jobs are sequenced.</li></ul>
