The Candidate;<ul>
<li>Knowledge of air, sea, and road freight processes is highly beneficial.</li><li>Previous experience within a fast paced logistics and shipping operation is highly desirable</li><li>Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel</li><li>Excellent communication skills&mdash;both verbal and written</li><li>Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload</li><li>A flexible, proactive attitude and the confidence to work independently after training</li><li>A high attention to detail is essential</li><li>Must be resilient and have strong customer service skills</li><li>Strong administrative skills</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines</li><li>An Interest in supply chain/logistics</li><li>Knowledge of West African geography is desirable</li><li>Any foreign language skills is desirable</li></ul>
Duties and Responsibilities;<ul>
<li>Process customer orders accurately from initial receipt to final dispatch</li><li>Coordinate shipments from Europe to West Africa with suppliers and freight partners</li><li>Prepare and check export documentation for compliance and accuracy</li><li>Send weekly shipment updates to key customers</li><li>Respond promptly to customer and internal queries</li><li>Identify and resolve shipping or supply chain issues</li><li>Escalate complex problems to the Unit Manager when needed</li><li>Maintain clear and accurate logistics records in internal systems</li><li>Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet deadlines</li><li>Ensuring every customer receives excellent customer service</li><li>Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays</li></ul>
