The Role of the Design Draughtsperson:

As a Design Draughtsperson, you’ll play a crucial role in turning ideas into practical, precision-engineered designs. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, supporting technical documentation, and collaborating across teams to ensure designs are efficient and ready for manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating detailed 2D and 3D design drawings and models using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Producing comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs and assembly instructions.
• Collaborating with engineering and production teams to refine designs and ensure manufacturability.
• Managing revision control and maintaining a clear, organised file management system.
• Supporting quality assurance by reviewing drawings and eliminating design discrepancies.
• Staying current with drafting standards and software developments to drive continuous improvement.

About You:

• Mechanical Engineering qualifications
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault
