The Role of the Electrical Technician:As an Electrical Technician, you&rsquo;ll be responsible for the assembly, wiring, testing, and installation of complex electrical and fibre optic components. You&rsquo;ll work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications, supporting production in a highly regulated ISO9001 environment.Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Technician:<ul>
<li>Electrical Assembly &amp; Termination &ndash; Soldering, crimping, and mechanical splicing of electrical assemblies</li><li>Connector &amp; Insert Manufacturing &ndash; Working from raw components with precision</li><li>Fibre Optic Terminations &ndash; Following strict quality and process standards</li><li>Resin Casting &ndash; Mixing and casting various polyurethane, polyethylene, and epoxy resins</li><li>Testing &amp; Documentation &ndash; Accurate QA testing and result logging</li><li>On-Site Support &ndash; Occasionally supporting installations and monitoring (UK and international)</li><li>H&amp;S Compliance &ndash; Handling chemicals and maintaining a clean and safe working environment</li><li>Team Collaboration &ndash; Assisting in staff training and upholding company values</li></ul>
Requirements of the Electrical Technician:<ul>
<li>Qualified in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience in an electrical assembly role within manufacturing</li><li>IPC trained (Institute for Printed Circuits &ndash; essential)</li><li>Able to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics</li><li>Experienced in soldering and wiring electrical connectors and assemblies</li><li>Comfortable working in a process-driven, ISO9001 environment</li></ul>
