Role Overview:We&rsquo;re seeking a Product Development Technician with a background in food, nutrition, or wellness product innovation. Reporting to the Product Development Manager (Ingredients), you&rsquo;ll support the development of food and beverage products, supplements, and functional ingredient systems across multiple categories.You&rsquo;ll be involved in flavour formulation, lab trials, internal tastings, and sample preparation &mdash; ensuring that products meet quality, safety, and customer expectations.Key Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>Support the development and testing of food, beverage, and nutrition-based products (NPD/EPD)</li><li>Conduct lab-based tasks including formulation, application trials, and ingredient testing</li><li>Set up and monitor development trials and taste panels</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation, records, and technical data</li><li>Assist with sample prep, stock control, and internal/external sample dispatch</li><li>Contribute to shelf-life trials, technical documentation, and production scale-up</li></ul>

<li>Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal standards</li></ul>
Experience Required:<ul>
<li>Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills</li><li>Highly organized and confident working independently or in a team</li><li>Experience in food, supplement, or wellness product formulation (e.g. functional beverages, powders, ready-to-drink)</li><li>Knowledge of flavour application and functional ingredients (e.g. nootropics, adaptogens, botanicals)</li><li>Good lab practice and familiarity with chemical handling/safety procedures</li><li>Strong numeracy and Microsoft Office skills</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul>
<li>Degree in Food Science, Human Nutrition, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Natural Product Discovery (essential)</li><li>Experience in a lab or food manufacturing environment (preferred)</li><li>Food safety certification (a plus)</li></ul>
