Workshop Accounts AssistantLancaster&pound;28,000 - &pound;28,500We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Accounts Assistant to join a busy team at a reputable company based in Lancaster.This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial management and reporting within the workshop environment, supporting the Workshop Finance Manager.The Candidate:<ul data-start="421" data-end="1087">
<li data-start="421" data-end="491">Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role</li><li data-start="492" data-end="572">Strong knowledge of sales and purchase ledgers, credit control, and cashiering</li><li data-start="573" data-end="644">Experience working with financial software such as Autoline is a plus</li><li data-start="645" data-end="707">Proficient in using MS Office applications, especially Excel</li><li data-start="708" data-end="786">Good understanding of payroll administration and fleet management processes</li><li data-start="787" data-end="841">Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks</li><li data-start="842" data-end="895">Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines</li><li data-start="896" data-end="957">Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach</li><li data-start="958" data-end="1017">Proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new tasks</li><li data-start="1018" data-end="1087">A good understanding of accounting principles and office procedures</li><li data-start="1018" data-end="1087">Experience working within a logistics background (not essential)</li></ul>
Key Responsibilities:<ul>
<li data-start="1135" data-end="1245">Perform credit control and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring all accounts allocations are performed weekly</li><li data-start="1246" data-end="1324">Provide cover for invoicing both internal and external vehicles as necessary</li><li data-start="1325" data-end="1385">Assist in invoicing MOTs for both Lancaster and The Shires</li><li data-start="1404" data-end="1470">Process all cash received and other bank entries onto the ledger</li><li data-start="1404" data-end="1470">Assist with the processing of all purchase invoices, including scanning, filing, and processing the payment run</li><li data-start="1638" data-end="1749">Responsible for the monthly payroll function, ensuring all payroll tasks are completed accurately and on time</li><li data-start="1778" data-end="1845">Create job cards and R2C records, ensuring accurate documentation</li><li data-start="1846" data-end="1921">Assist with the maintenance of the MOT booking sheet and workshop loading</li><li data-start="1942" data-end="2055">Support Senior Management on various projects, using initiative to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner</li><li data-start="2056" data-end="2148">Stay updated with developments in office procedures and contribute to their implementation</li><li data-start="2149" data-end="2217">Undertake appropriate training and personal development activities</li></ul>
