IT Support Location: Bolton (with travel to retail stores across the North West) Salary: &pound;28,000 &ndash; &pound;34,000 (depending on experience) Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30 &ndash; 16:45 with 45-minute lunch) On-call 1 week in every 2, including Saturday morning store visits and weekend phone supportKey Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>Provide IT support across 48 retail outlets and the head office</li><li>Support and maintain the company&rsquo;s EPOS system (software and hardware)</li><li>Train retail staff on EPOS use and system processes</li><li>Manage EPOS system rollouts when required</li><li>Respond to internal IT support requests, incidents, and queries</li><li>Support business systems including desktops, laptops, and servers</li><li>Work with Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows Server (2012/2019)</li><li>Maintain and support network infrastructure (switches, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)</li><li>Support virtual environments (VMWare), backups (Veeam), and MDM (MobileIron)</li><li>Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve system issues and implement solutions</li><li>Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software</li><li>Some out-of-hours and weekend support required</li></ul>
About You:<ul>
<li>Proven experience in IT technical support or a similar role</li><li>Strong understanding of networking and firewall configurations</li><li>Confident troubleshooting both hardware and software issues</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office, Office 365, and ideally Microsoft Azure</li><li>Familiar with ERP systems (preferred but not essential)</li><li>Good communication skills, able to explain technical terms to non-technical users</li><li>Proactive and analytical with a flexible and adaptable approach</li><li>Must have a full clean UK driving licence and access to your own car</li><li>Pool car available during the week for store visits</li></ul>
