What is the UK Metals Expo?
Held annually at the NEC in Birmingham, the UK Metals Expo brings together the full metals supply chain, from engineering and construction to manufacturing and policy.
And this year, the Expo is set to be bigger and more connected than ever before.
As always, you can expect plenty of incredible insights, with 320+ exhibitors, 100+ speakers, and four themed theatres hosting over 30 free seminars.

What’s on at the UK Metals Expo?
This year’s conference features four dedicated seminar theatres, each tackling key issues across the sector:
- The Big Issues: “Join industry leaders to tackle the steel industry’s most pressing challenges.”
- Sustainability and Circular Economy: “Explore how the aluminium industry is embracing circular economy principles to drive efficiency and sustainability.”
- Innovation and Technology: “From automation and AI to new industrial applications, discover how technology is driving productivity and competitive growth in the metals industry.”
- Supply Chain, Trade and Policy: “Explore how to build resilient supply chains and future-proof your business against market turbulence.”
A few standout sessions from Day One (Wednesday 10th September) include State of the UK Metals Industry, UK Industrial Review and the Road to a Steel Strategy, Low-Carbon supply Chains, Practical AI for Metal Manufacturing, and Optimising Steel & Metal Imports.
And on Day Two (Thursday 11th September): Steel Construction: The Big Picture, The Impact of CBAM on the UK Metals Industry, Achieving Circularity in the Automotive Industry, Smarter Automotive Scrap, and Supplying the Final Frontier.
