Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking for a new opportunity within the aerospace and defence industry?
Do you have proven experience setting and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines and working to tight machining tolerances?

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, blueprints, sketches and work instructions.
- Determine machining requirements, dimensional specifications, setup and operating requirements.
- Identify, select and set up tooling for machining operations.
- Operate multiple machine tools and machining operations where required.
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain required tolerances.
- Carry out necessary quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Visually inspect finished components.
- Use precision measuring instruments and gauging equipment to carry out dimensional verification.
- Take responsibility for the quality and functionality of finished components.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities within the machining process.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce setup times and improve productivity.
- Work collaboratively within a team-focused manufacturing environment.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
- Strong understanding of G-code and CNC controls.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain and/or Mazatrol controls.
- Time-served in a machining discipline.
- Previous experience within aerospace or a similar high-precision engineering environment is preferred.
- Proven ability to work to tight machining tolerances.
- Experience using precision inspection and measuring equipment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining processes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Positive attitude towards Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong team player with the ability to contribute ideas and support team decisions.
- Flexible approach to working rotating shifts.
Package Details
- Salary negotiable depending on experience
- 4 On 4 Off 2 days followed by 2 nights 12 hour shifts - 33% Shift Allowance
- 33 days annual leave, inclusive of Bank Holidays
