Press Brake Operator / Setter

Location: Shirebrook

Hours: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

We are currently seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a press brake machine to bend, form, and fabricate sheet metal into various components. This is a full-time position based in our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal according to engineering drawings
  • Fabricate sheet metal components using hand tools and various tooling
  • Weld and grind components as needed for assembly
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and angles
  • Assemble fabricated parts into finished products

Skills:

  • Mechanical knowledge related to press brake operations
  • Proficiency in fabricating sheet metal components
  • Ability to work with hand tools and various tooling
  • Experience in welding and grinding metal parts
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
  • Capability to assemble fabricated parts accurately

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their Liverpool-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business that values innovation, technical excellence, and professional development. The Role Based in Liverpool, with occasional travel to other company locations and customer sites for technical surveys, the successful candidate will provide engineering support across the business by responding to technical enquiries, producing electrical designs, supporting product development, and delivering project engineering solutions. Reporting to the Technical Director, key responsibilities will include: Key Responsibilities Design LV and MV electrical and control systems in accordance with relevant industry standards. Produce electrical engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation. Create electrical drawings including schematics, panel layouts, interconnection diagrams, single-line diagrams, and block diagrams. Support electrical power distribution and control system architecture. Produce and maintain EC&I documentation, including P&IDs, cable schedules, and instrument schedules. Review and update engineering drawings and technical documentation. Apply EMC best practices, including cable segregation, shielding, and grounding. Carry out site surveys and inspections to support project delivery and ensure compliance. Support construction and commissioning activities. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams. Assist with technical proposals and tender submissions. Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will have: Essential Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of two years' experience in a similar Electrical Design Engineer role. Experience using AutoCAD Electrical. Experience producing electrical drawings and engineering documentation. Good understanding of EC&I documentation. Strong communication and organisational skills. Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Desirable Experience using AutoCAD Mechanical. Previous experience within switchgear, power distribution, industrial automation, or a related engineering environment. What's on Offer Full-time, permanent position.
