Stock Controller
Manchester
£30,000 – £32,000 (dependent on experience)

 

Are you an experienced Stock Controller or Stores professional looking to join a growing engineering business with a busy order book and long-term career prospects?

 

The Role of the Stock Controller

This is a hands-on, fast-paced position where you will play a key part in supporting production and engineering teams by ensuring materials and stock are managed efficiently. The ideal Stock Controller will have Stock Control experience in an Engineering or manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities of the Stock Controller:

  • Managing stock levels and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Placing purchase orders and liaising with suppliers
  • Carrying out goods-in inspections and quality checks
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and implementing improvements
  • Working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure materials are available on time
  • Maintaining organised procurement and stock documentation

 

Requirements of the Stock Controller

  • At least 1 year experience in a stock control, procurement, or store’s role
  • Experience working an engineering or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with inventory software systems
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
