£25,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Are you a technically minded coordinator who enjoys working closely with engineers, solving problems, and building strong customer relationships?

This is an opportunity for a Technical Service Coordinator to join a growing, engineering-led business delivering full turnkey projects for blue-chip customers with exceptionally high standards. With new projects recently secured and further growth planned, the service function is expanding and looking for a Technical Service Coordinator to play a key role in its continued success.

The Opportunity

The Technical Service Coordinator will sit at the centre of the service and after-sales operation, acting as the link between customers, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams. This is an office-based role, but it’s hands-on, technical, and varied, ideal for someone with an engineering background who enjoys coordination, customer interaction, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Service Coordinator

  • Plan and coordinate the daily activities of service engineers, ensuring maintenance visits, callouts, and commissioning work are scheduled efficiently
  • Act as the main point of contact between customers, engineers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Manage customer bookings, site access arrangements, and required health & safety documentation
  • Respond quickly to urgent service issues, adjusting schedules and arranging engineer attendance or parts as required
  • Source and organise spare parts and components, liaising with suppliers to confirm availability, lead times, and technical compatibility
  • Ensure engineers attend site fully prepared with the correct parts, information, and documentation
  • Review technical feedback from service visits and convert findings into follow-up actions and commercial quotations
  • Prepare and issue quotations for remedial works, upgrades, spare parts, and service renewals
  • Maintain accurate records of service activity, job information, and customer documentation
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships through clear communication, technical guidance, and professional follow-up
  • Support invoicing, job administration, and service reporting in line with internal processes
  • Contribute ideas to improve service coordination, communication, and overall customer experience

Requirements of the Technical Service Coordinator

  • HNC / HND in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a service, maintenance, or after-sales environment
  • Background in engineering, building services, HVAC, air handling, or industrial equipment
  • Technically minded, with the ability to understand drawings, parts, and technical documentation
  • Confident communicating with customers, engineers, and suppliers
  • Highly organised with strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high customer standards

Why Join?

  • Join a sociable, close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together
  • Exposure to high-value projects and blue-chip customers
  • A role offering real responsibility and progression
  • A stable, growing business with long-term career opportunities

Benefits

  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Company pension
  • Supportive team environment
  • Clear development and progression pathway
