Warehouse Operative / HGV Driver

Full Time | Permanent

Monday to Friday 07:30am – 4:30pm

Are you an experienced warehouse operative with an HGV licence looking for a varied, hands-on role?

Do you enjoy a mix of warehouse work, deliveries, and customer interaction?

Aspion are supporting a metal stockholding business in Dyfed in their search for a Warehouse Operative / HGV Driver. This is an all-round position, supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation and making deliveries to customers.

The Role

  • Carry out customer deliveries safely and efficiently, using vehicles covered by your licence.
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring materials are secure and protected.
  • Pick, pack and prepare metal products for dispatch.
  • Receive incoming stock, check delivery paperwork and report discrepancies.
  • Store materials correctly and support stock checks.
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment where trained and authorised.
  • Complete vehicle checks and maintain accurate delivery records.
  • Provide a friendly, professional service when delivering to customers.
  • Maintain a tidy warehouse and follow safe handling procedures.
  • Support the wider team with general warehouse duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • A valid HGV licence appropriate to the delivery vehicle.
  • Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card where required.
  • Previous warehouse and commercial driving experience.
  • Experience within metal stockholding, steel or industrial distribution would be advantageous.
  • A forklift licence would be desirable.
  • A practical approach and willingness to help across different duties.
  • Good attention to detail when checking stock, orders and paperwork.
  • A reliable team player who is comfortable handling materials safely.

Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs across production machinery, site services and building installations. Complete planned preventative maintenance and follow up on identified defects.
