Job Overview

Aspion are currently seeking experienced Class 1 (HGV) Container Drivers operating out of Liverpool. This role involves transporting containers to and from the docks and customer sites across the North West and wider UK.

A dock card (e.g. Port Skills and Safety / RHIDES) is preferred but not essential, provided you have proven container driving experience and a strong understanding of port procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport shipping containers safely and efficiently to and from ports and delivery locations
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure all loads are secure and compliant with legal requirements
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time
• Adhere to all driving laws, tachograph regulations, and company policies
• Maintain excellent communication with transport planners and customers
• Represent the company professionally at all times

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Minimum 1–2 years Class 1 driving experience (container experience preferred)
• Experience with port work and container haulage
• Dock card (preferred but not essential)
• Good knowledge of UK road networks
• Strong safety awareness and reliability
