Job Title: Class 1 Container Driver – Ellesmere Port

(Curtains, Fridges and Tramping available – Negotiable rates)

Pay Rates – £16.50 days plus holiday pay £18.85

Ltd Rates - £18.00 – 20.00

Job Description:

We are currently seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) Container Drivers to join a busy logistics operation based in the Ellesmere Port area. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for consistent work with immediate starts available.

You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of containers to and from ports and customer locations, mainly across the North West and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily container deliveries and collections
• Completing all paperwork and PODs accurately
• Conducting pre and post-trip vehicle checks
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and Working Time Directive
• Maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation
• Communicating with the transport office regarding delays or issues

Requirements:

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 container experience preferred
• Valid Digi Tacho and CPC Card
• Knowledge of container ports (e.g., Liverpool, Seaforth)
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR/IN codes)
• Good understanding of driver compliance and road safety
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have good communication skills
