Driving Recruitment

Reliable drivers are essential to service delivery, road safety and transport compliance. Aspion recruits drivers for UK transport and logistics businesses through a specialist service led by a CPC Transport Management-qualified consultant.

Driver recruitment shaped by operational and compliance requirements

Professional driving appointments need to be assessed against the vehicle category, the work involved and the employer’s transport operation. Aspion supports Class 1 (Category C+E), Class 2 (Category C), 7.5-tonne, 3.5-tonne and light van driver requirements, as well as drivers’ mates. Those requirements cannot be assessed solely on availability or a stated licence category.

Our driver recruitment service is led by a CPC Transport Management-qualified consultant. The process includes licence verification, relevant documentation checks, Driver CPC and digital tachograph card checks, together with assessments covering road signs, tachograph use, drivers’ hours and Traffic Commissioner compliance questions. The objective is to establish relevant suitability before a driver is introduced to an employer.

For employers, the practical priority is a dependable workforce that understands the demands and responsibilities of driving work. We discuss the nature of the assignment, qualifications, experience and operational expectations before selecting candidates. Transport management and wider logistics appointments are covered by our related specialist recruitment teams.

Protecting operational continuity

A good recruitment process must look beyond whether someone has the relevant licence. We consider role-specific experience, safety awareness, reliability and ability to work within transport requirements. The objective is to present drivers who fit your operating model and have gone through suitable checks before deployment.

Flexible workforce requirements

Speak to our driving team about temporary, ongoing and permanent requirements, including peaks in workload and planned changes to driver headcount. We will agree the licence, shift, experience and compliance requirements at the outset.

Qualified understanding of the transport sector

Our team’s CPC Transport Management expertise helps make conversations more informed around driver suitability and operational expectations. Employers remain responsible for their own statutory checks, onboarding and operator compliance obligations.
