About the Role

Business Development Manager - US Market (UK Based)

Market Intelligence SaaS

£40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus

UK remote with international travel across USA


 

A global market intelligence and SaaS business is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive revenue across the US market, operating from the UK. This role is critical to expanding their presence in North America, selling high-value subscription platforms, research reports and consultancy services to senior commercial and technical stakeholders. 

This is a remote, UK-based position working US hours (approx. 2pm–10pm), so experience selling into the US market and operating in those hours is essential. 

The Role

 This is a full-cycle sales position combining new business development and account management, with a strong focus on new logo acquisition in the US. 

You’ll take ownership of a defined territory, build and convert your own pipeline, and sell a suite of SaaS-style subscriptions, market intelligence reports and advisory services into sectors including technology, manufacturing, engineering and R&D. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive new business sales across the US market (majority focus)
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts
  • Sell subscriptions, research reports and consultancy services
  • Engage with Director to C-level stakeholders
  • Deliver presentations, demos and commercial proposals
  • Build and manage a high-value sales pipeline
  • Attend US-based events, conferences and client meetings
  • Collaborate with internal analysts and marketing teams

What They’re Looking For 

  • 3–5+ years’ B2B sales experience (essential)
  • Proven track record in new business / “hunter” roles
  • Experience selling into the US market (essential)
  • Comfortable working UK-based in US hours (2pm–10pm)
  • Background in SaaS, subscriptions, market research, events, media or consultancy
  • Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and commercially driven
  • Willingness to travel internationally (primarily US)
