Business Development Manager - Electronic Components

OX, LU, NN, MK, HP, AL(Remote)

£45,000-£55,000 base + Commission (£65,000-£70,000 OTE) + Car + Benefits

About the Role

I’m working with a well-established European electronics manufacturer looking to hire a technically minded BDM to grow an established territory across Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

This role would suit a candidate with a proven technical sales background

The position is heavily relationship and project focused — engaging with design engineers, technical teams, procurement, and manufacturing stakeholders to support projects from design stage through to production.

What the role involves:

  • Managing and developing existing OEM and engineering accounts
  • Identifying new business opportunities across manufacturing and industrial customers
  • Selling consultatively into technical environments rather than transactional sales
  • Supporting design-in/specification-led projects with long sales cycles
  • Working closely with engineering and procurement teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Building long-term customer partnerships across the territory

What they’re looking for:

  • Experience in technical B2B sales or engineering sales
  • Background in electronic components, electromechanical products, automation, controls, sensors, connectors, or similar technical products would be advantageous
  • Comfortable speaking with engineers and understanding technical applications
  • Proven track record in business development and account growth
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a field-based territory

Why this role stands out:

  • Established territory with existing customer relationships
  • Strong technical product portfolio with genuine market demand
  • Consultative sales environment with longer-term project work
  • Supportive leadership team and realistic growth plans
  • Good earning potential without aggressive micromanagement culture
  • Opportunity to work with innovative engineering and manufacturing customers

If you’re currently in technical sales, electronics, automation, engineered products, or component distribution and would be open to a confidential conversation, feel free to get in touch or apply below.
