You'll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our transport operation - coordinating collections, deliveries, and driver schedules to ensure everything runs safely, efficiently, and on time. Working closely with the Front Line Manager and wider logistics team, you'll use transport systems to track vehicle movements, communicate with drivers, and provide excellent service to internal and external customers. This role ensures that all aspects of the late shift operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Key responsibilities include overseeing picking, loading, routing, and quality checks, while maintaining a safe working environment and delivering exceptional service standards. Routing and Pre-Drops: - Input routing details accurately and ensure pre-drops are achievable. - Reassign loads or communicate delays as needed to ensure compliance with regulations. End-of-Shift Reporting: - Send comprehensive end-of-shift reports covering pre-drops, stock issues, errors, and other relevant updates. Accuracy and Compliance: - Perform accuracy checks on at least 80% of items, reporting any discrepancies. - Uphold health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Leadership and Development: - Conduct monthly 1:1s with team members to provide performance feedback and identify training needs. - Support team training, including eLearning programs, to ensure continuous development. - Handle disciplinary investigations as required. Security and Housekeeping: - Ensure the site is secure and all alarms are set at the end of each shift. - Conduct end-of-shift walk-throughs to maintain cleanliness and readiness for the next day.
