This is a unique opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take full ownership of mechanical design within the business. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing new machinery from scratch, leading concept development, prototyping and R&D, and taking designs through to manufacture. You'll work closely with production, electrical/control panels, service engineers and project delivery teams, playing a key role in the continued growth of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a transport professional with strong planning experience within general haulage who thrives in a busy operational environment. Working as part of a supportive night team alongside another Planner, an Operations Manager, and Customer Service support, the successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the night fleet operation, ensuring service levels are maintained and drivers are fully supported throughout the shift. This is a key role responsible for the end-to-end management of the finance function, combining day-to-day transactional oversight with ownership of cash flow, reporting, and financial controls.
