Job Overview

The Sales Executive will play a key role in generating and qualifying new business opportunities for the wider sales team. Working closely with internal stakeholders and field sales colleagues, the successful candidate will identify target accounts, engage prospective customers, and book qualified appointments while helping shape outbound sales strategy. This position offers clear progression into a field sales or broader commercial role over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective B2B customers across target markets through outbound prospecting, LinkedIn, email, and market research
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, assessing commercial viability and booking appointments for the external sales team
  • Follow up quotations and nurture opportunities to maximise conversion rates
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, prospect pipelines, and lead databases
  • Work collaboratively with internal technical and customer service teams to improve lead quality and customer experience
  • Analyse prospecting activity and market trends to refine targeting and support lead generation strategy

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in telesales, lead generation, business development, internal sales, or appointment setting
  • Comfortable making outbound B2B sales calls and engaging decision-makers
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to build rapport quickly
  • Commercially minded with an analytical approach to identifying opportunities
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Experience using LinkedIn, CRM systems, and sales prospecting tools
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress into a broader sales / field sales role
  • Graduate calibre candidates with strong commercial aptitude will also be considered
