An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join a leading FMCG/manufacturing organisation on a 9–12 month fixed-term contract.

This is a highly visible, commercially focused HR role, partnering with senior operational leaders across a number of high-profile manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping people strategy, driving engagement and culture, supporting organisational change and providing pragmatic, commercially minded HR leadership.

The role will require regular travel between sites, particularly during the initial phase, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working across multiple locations and engaging directly with site leadership teams and frontline manufacturing colleagues.

The Candidate;            

  • Significant senior HR Business Partner experience within a challenging operational environment.
  • CIPD Level 5 is highly desirable
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate business challenges into effective people solutions.
  • Experience working within FMCG, manufacturing or a similarly operationally intensive environment is highly desirable
  • Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, cultural development and business transformation.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data and insight to identify problems and drive solutions.
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
  • A disciplined, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to quickly establish credibility and build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Experience working with trade unions would be advantageous.
  • Flexibility to travel UK wide within the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with senior operational leaders and site General Managers to deliver effective people strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Act as a trusted coach, challenger and adviser to senior leaders and management teams.
  • Drive employee engagement, culture and organisational effectiveness across the sites.
  • Lead and support organisational change, transformation and modernisation programmes.
  • Develop and deliver site-specific people plans that support business performance and future growth.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on complex employee relations and employment matters.
  • Support workforce planning, organisational design and changes to ways of working.
  • Use HR data and insight to identify trends, diagnose issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Lead or contribute to projects designed to improve business performance, efficiency and ways of working.
  • Build strong relationships with operational teams, ensuring HR is visible, credible and closely connected to the needs of the business.
  • Coach and develop managers to improve leadership capability, accountability and performance.
  • Work collaboratively with specialist HR teams to ensure the business receives high-quality support across areas such as Employee Relations, Reward, Talent, Learning, HR Services and Payroll.
