CNC Machinist

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £33,000 – £36,000 + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

This is a great opportunity for an CNC Machinist to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer producing high-value, complex components for major international projects. You’ll work with advanced CNC machinery on large, bespoke parts that demand accuracy, skill, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist:

  • Set and operate CNC Turning and Milling machines.
  • Produce precision components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings.
  • Perform first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet output, safety, and quality targets.
  • Maintain 5S standards and promote continuous improvement.

 

About the CNC Machinist:

  • Time-served / Apprentice-trained in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experienced in CNC Turning and Milling operations.
  • Hands-on with 3- or 4-axis machines.
  • Strong at reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Competent with precision measuring tools.
  • Quality-focused, reliable, and motivated to produce your best work.
  • Siemens controls experience (desired)
  • Forklift/lifting experience (desired)
